Corporate Foresight in SMEs

Z_punkt’s project “Corporate Foresight in SMEs”, supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, examines approaches to systematic future work in innovative German SMEs and identifies the Foresight methods and tools SMEs need for the strategy work.

Strategic Foresight in Companies

As a part of his doctoral thesis on “Strategic Foresight in Companies”, Adrian Müller of the University of St. Gallen analysed the state-of-art of Corporate Foresight in European businesses. Z_punkt supported Müller in the execution of a survey of 40 major European corporations. The result of the survey shows that while Foresight is increasingly becoming a strategic pillar in corporate practice, its concrete value is also more and more challenged.

Future Research and the Business Community

The 2002 survey “Future Research and Businesses: Experience, Methods, Perspectives” was the first to systematically examine the practices, approaches, and experiences of Future Research in businesses in German-speaking countries. The profitability report has become one of the reference texts in Corporate Foresight.
